Event Planning: I am the shadow.... the true self.

 Hey guys! So we're ready to throw the next trial at you. Rather than having the queens announce it, though, we're just going to announce it OOC, to give you guys a bit of a planning period.

The basis of our next event is Shadow Selves. Essentially, this is a clone of your character that displays all of the traits that they bury deep inside of themselves. They don't necessarily have to be evil; while they may be very open about the negative thoughts your character secretly harbors, they can also be very open about insecurities, crushes, or deeply held secrets. It's all up to you! 

The shadow characters will look nearly identical to their normal counter-part with one exception - Prospit dreamers will have golden eyes and Dersite dreamers will have violet eyes. Whether or not people interacting with shadows notice this is left to your discretion.

We'll be orchestrating this event by putting up a post in the main comm in a couple of days where you guys can interact with each other and cause mayhem, but this is primarily a player-run event. If you want to cause MAJOR mayhem, check in with the mods first, but for the most part you guys are free to play around with shadow characters as you see fit. 

Your characters will have one week in-game to accept their shadow selves or not, at which point stage 2 of this event will begin.

i have some options:

-vamp desires
-----violent urges
-----blood sucking urges
-making out with all the girls
-admitting things that bugged her that she wants to be above (like valuing her hurt feelings over vriska contacting her)
-also guilt in general perhaps

mothering and protective urges are not something she's ashamed of per say so i don't think it would controbute much towards character development.

For Feferi I'm leaning toward going more trickstery with her although Feferi barely has impulse control as is... Maybe she'll do the flip and be much more respectful and socially acceptable than usual

Karkat is probably going to be really glum and also a lot sweeter to everyone... I believe that he is usually upset and self-conscious so it comes out as anger a lot. So he might be running around sad and just wanting love.

I may also do a bit where he admits that he's afraid of losing Terezi to Dave because he just thinks Dave is incredibly hot, just so attractive and cool.... hehehe. I don't know if Dave or others would be interested in being there for this conversation so I'll just leave this here.

Here are my general ideas of where I want to go with Shadow Terezi! >:]
If there's anything anyone seems interested in working with or dealing with; let me know!!

- Admits that she acts weird just to get something out of people and make her unique/stand out from the crowd. Will openly admit her feelings of inferiority to friends.

- Will admit to harboring feelings for Vriska despite dating Karkat. Enjoys her brash and selfish nature and how it contrasts to her. Will admit that the reason keeping her from flat out telling Vriska is the fact that her Scourge Sister is not a logical partner to be romantic with. It would hurt her career and everything she's worked towards but that gamble is what makes Vriska even more desirable.

-Openly admits to guilt about Vriska and dual flirting [Dave and Karkat], visions and other stuff




Also, since I'm writing this very late at night. If anyone has some suggestions I'm willing to consider other things >:D

Shadow Nepeta is going to be more open about her feelings and thoughts, especially about romantic desires of her own and of others.

-Will openly admit crushes

-Will openly play middleman to other relationships in an effort to make them happen

-Will openly admit to jealousy and frustrations

Basically this version of herself is not sneaky about her feelings and thoughts, and will feelings jam with anyone at any time about it.

Shadow Vriska

Shadow Vriska is is Vriska without any self control. Even more than regular Vriska, shadow Vriska will be prone to picking fights and being cruel. An unwarranted 8itch with no remorse, shadow Vriska operates for spiders, by spiders, of spiders.

Whereas regular Vriska has taken a back seat to life after having been brutally defeated by Aradia, shadow Vriska cannot stand regular Vriska just sitting around doing nothing, and plans to take full advantage of the life she's magically found herself in.

Regular Vriska is trying to be a better person, however misguided some of those attempts have been. She does value her friends, and struggles to choose between her own selfish nature and what would be the right thing to do. Shadow Vriska only lives to help herself get what she wants, seeing the world around her as hers for the taking and the people in it as the pawns in her game.

Happenings to be a-happenin’:

-Shadow Vriska sets out to get her way by “fixing" the problems in regular Vriska's life, starting with picking a fight with Karkat over dating Terezi.
-Vriska is her own worst enemy. These two will most likely end up at odds, one working directly against the other to clean up the mess the other is making.
-Its possible shadow Vriska is easily distracted from the overall goal of petty revenge and conquest by side conflicts she causes or becomes entangled in along the way.
